PIERRE AINSCOW

After moving to the UK from the Netherlands in 2010, Pierre graduated from the University of Chichester with a BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy degree. As a member of The Society of Sports Therapists, Pierre has treated a wide range of injuries through working with the Vice-Chairman of the society in his Portsmouth based clinic, multiple other injury clinics in Hampshire and Cheshire as well as in both amateur and professional teams.

Pierre was the lead Sports Therapist for Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing, who went on to win the Volvo Ocean Race in 2014/15 and continued to work in the professional sailing world as the Sports Therapist for Artemis Racing in their challenge for the 35th America's Cup in 2017.

Pierre opened up his own practice in Derbyshire, UK where he became the go to practitioner in the local area. During the Volvo Ocean Race 2017/18, Pierre continued to be involved by supporting Turn The Tide On Plastic alongside maintaining a busy practice in the UK.

Pierre continues to further his knowledge in the health industry by gaining qualifications in acupuncture, nutrition, personal training and Pilates.

Pierre has always been heavily involved in sport. At the Dutch National Swimming Championships he got a bronze medal in both the 50m and 100m butterfly as well as playing hockey regularly. It's not surprising that he picked up a few injuries along the way, and it was this experience of being injured and a desire to help others to participate in sport that led him to Sports Therapy.

In his spare time Pierre continues to pursue his passion for hockey and swimming as well as a strong drive to learn how to surf!
